media release: The Wisconsin wrestling team will wrestle nine conference duals in the new year starting on Sunday, Jan. 17, the Big Ten Conference announced Dec. 31.
The Badgers open their season on the road in Champaign, Illinois, with a tri-meet against Illinois and Ohio State.
Wisconsin will host three home matches against Purdue (Jan. 24, 1 pm), Minnesota (Feb. 12) and Iowa (Feb. 21) at the UW Field House.
The Badgers will travel to Nebraska (Jan. 31) and to Northwestern (Feb. 14) for dual meets. They’ll also travel to Ann Arbor, Michigan on Feb. 7 for a tri-meet with host Michigan and Penn State.
Looking at the post-season, Penn State will host the Big Ten Championships on March 6-7 at the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, Pennsylvania. The NCAA Wrestling Championships are March 18-20 at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis.
Start times, broadcast information and television selections will be announced at a later time.
As announced earlier this fall, Wisconsin Athletics will not be providing wrestling season tickets for the 2021 season when it does begin. At this time, there will be no fans allowed at the UW Field House for home matches. If tickets become available for home events as well as postseason events, this information will be shared.
During the 2021-22 Fall/Winter wrestling season ticket order period, season ticket holders will receive communication via email to purchase season tickets.
