Varaha
media release: Chicago’s Varaha return to the stage after nearly a year away from live performances, currently working on the follow-up to their acclaimed Prosthetic Records debut, A Passage for Lost Years. Their music blends atmospheric doom, post-metal, cinematic textures, and emotionally heavy songwriting.
The Madison show is Saturday, October 10 at Mickey’s Tavern, with Corridoré and Searchlights. Varaha will be performing material from A Passage for Lost Years alongside new songs from the forthcoming album.
During the pandemic, Varaha also became active in the Save Our Stages campaign, advocating for independent venues and the live-music community. The band participated in NIVA’s Save Our Stages efforts, with its advocacy receiving Chicago media coverage, including WGN and NBC 5. https://prostheticrecords.com/news/varaha-appear-on-wgn-nationally-nbc-5-locally-in-support-of-saveourstages/
