Vina loves nature. As an artist, she strives to capture the sense of harmony and peace within the images of nature. Vina’s artworks are mainly focused on Chinese pigments on rice/cicada paper or silk. As a crafter, Vina enjoys making fabric origami bags. The part she likes the most is to pair up two different kinds of fabric designs to give the bag a unique looks. This small bag is very handy for traveling or evening outing and it is also a superb gift item for friends and coworkers (vyang@aol.com).
The Chinese Fine Art Association is a non-profit organization established in Madison in 1999. The Association provides opportunities for members to share interests and exhibit Chinese brush painting at many local galleries and international competitions. Members made animal puppets, like these, and donated them to the Ronald McDonald House to celebrate Chinese New Year in February. Any questions, please contact ifengliu@yahoo.com.
