Walking the Walk: A Values Centered Approach to Building a Strong Workplace
Coopers Tavern, The 20 W. Mifflin St., Madison, Wisconsin 53703
Community Shares of Wisconsin and the Interfaith Coalition for Worker Justice collaborate to bring Aina Gutierrez to Madison during the 2016 Forward Festival. Ms. Gutierrez will discuss her book, “Walking the Walk” how to look at internal workplace operations and finances through a social justice lens.
The topics covered in this book and during her talk will stress not only what is necessary to run a strong organization, but also what should be done to reflect the organization's values in the workplace. Her book is focused on nonprofit operations but this talk will be adapted to for-profit companies, as well.
Lunch will be provided by The Coopers Tavern for a fee of $12 - beverages included. Vegetarian options are available. Please note if you have other dietary restrictions.
Excess funds raised by this event after covering its costs will be donated to Interfaith Coalition for Worker Justice of South Central Wisconsin. For more information, contact Cheri at cbuckner@communityshares.com or 608-256-1066.
