media release: Get ready for the grandest event of the year as we gear up for the 174th Walworth County Fair, the largest event in Walworth County!
This incredible journey wouldn't have been possible without the unwavering dedication of countless volunteers, including our volunteer Board, staff, sponsors, promoters, exhibitors, vendors, and patrons. Each year, they breathe life into the fairgrounds, investing countless hours of planning, event setup, tear down, and cleanup, all while managing to wear a smile on their faces.
This year's Fair will continue to feature its beloved traditional events, such as the thrilling Harness Racing. But we're also proud to introduce some exciting new activities to ensure inclusivity and boost participation. For the first time, we're hosting a sensory-friendly period for kids with sensitivities to loud noises and flashing lights. Thanks to the generous sponsorship from Tanis Construction, a special partnership with North American Midway will provide a dedicated period on Friday during the fair when carnival rides' loud music and flashing lights will be turned off. This allows pre-registered youth with neurodiversity to enjoy the rides in a comfortable environment. Admission to the fair and carnival rides will be free for the child and their chosen caregiver. To learn more about this program, please visit our website.
Advance admission and grandstand tickets for the Fair can be purchased with cash or card at the fair office before the Fair begins. However, we understand the challenges faced by our volunteers and staff in handling cash at our admission gates. To prioritize security and accountability, we've made the decision to transition to credit or debit card payments only for admission gates and beer stands. Vendors, including the carnival, will still accept cash or card payments. Additionally, you can conveniently purchase advance tickets online on our website.
Can't wait to see you at the BIG ONE! The largest County Fair in Wisconsin. Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey.
