CANCELED: Wellness Wednesday
Chazen Museum of Art 750 University Ave., Madison, Wisconsin 53706
press release: To our Chazen Museum of Art community,
As you may know, Chancellor Rebecca Blank announced that UW–Madison campus will suspend face-to-face instruction effective March 23, the date that classes resume following spring break. Additionally, students are being asked not to return to residence halls after the break, and events and faculty/staff travel have been cancelled. At this time, campus remains open—this includes the Chazen Museum of Art—and employees will continue regular work schedules.
In an effort to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, lessen the risk to the community, and in line with UW–Madison guidance, we will cancel public programming at the museum from March 14 through at least April 12, 2020.
This is a fluid and evolving situation, and we will update plans on a daily basis via this website and social media on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
For the latest information from campus, visit the UW Covid-19 website page.
We’ll continue to adapt our plans as information changes, keeping health and safety as our first priority.
Instructor Jamie Gratrix leads hour-long yoga and meditation practice in the galleries on the third Wednesday of each month. All levels are welcome and practice is free but please bring a yoga mat.
