Wendy Holden
A Room of One's Own 2717 Atwood Ave., Madison, Wisconsin 53704
press release: A Room of One's Own welcomes author Wendy Holden and special guests Dr. Mark Olsky and Larry Koskiek for a reading and discussion of her important biography Born Survivors.
Born Survivors is the dramatic story of three young women, who in the final days of World War II gave birth to three children in the incomprehensible circumstances of a Nazi death camp. Written by Wendy Holden, a U.K. journalist, Born Survivors is a story of faith and hope that has resonated for more than 70 years and traces its own roots today to Madison.
Joining Wendy for the event will be one of the three "babies": local physician Dr. Mark Olsky who has dedicated his life to helping others. You'll also meet Larry Koskiek, of Lake Geneva, whose own family plays a critical role in the story. Larry's father, Albert, is the American GI who found the camp, saving Mark, the other two babies, and thousands of prisoners who had been abandoned by the Nazis.
Join us at the store along with Wendy, Mark, and Larry for an evening of stories and memories that will touch your heart.
