GUNS! is a load of $#!% we made up on the spot during a pensive retreat to a cabin in the woods in January of 2024. We brought with us our most devious musical tools and implements to cut initial demos for the next DL album.

When we weren’t writing, we were f***ing about… jamming and enjoying the wilderness. Funnily enough, we were taking pictures outside on the frozen lake the cabin was on and almost fell through the ice, a good 30 minutes from the nearest town. Unfortunately for all of you, we didn’t, and now you’re subjected to this nonsense.

Nonsense aside, GUNS! is one of the many improvisations we cut up there, and we all but forgot about it until some 10 months later… when we paid a visit to our good pals from The Lighter Co. in the Twin Cities. We stayed up late into the night trading blows on the aux, showing each other what we’d been working on. We got to digging through the vault…

After listening back to “1.5.24 night bonus jam #2 (really cool),” Nolan weighed in… “You guys are idiots! Put this out!”
