The Wisconsin Historical Museum will be seeing stars with the new exhibit “Wisconsin Goes Hollywood.” The exhibit will feature famous Wisconsinites who’ve made their way to Hollywood along with their costumes and photographs, how Wisconsin has been portrayed on television, and Wisconsin references in pop culture.
Famous costumes from films will be on display, including a jacket worn by Chris Farley in the movie Black Sheep, a Racine Bells baseball uniform from the movie A League of Their Own, the costume Fred MacMurray wore in the movie The Caine Mutiny, Luke Duke’s suit from TV show The Dukes of Hazzard Reunion! and a performance jacket worn by Liberace.
In addition to costumes the exhibit will also feature scripts from Citizen Kane and Bewitched, video clips from movies and television that referenced Wisconsin like Happy Days and Wayne’s World, movie and television stills, and much more. Admission is by donation of $5 per adult and $3 per child.
