Lake Edge Lutheran Church 4032 Monona Dr. , Madison, Wisconsin 53716
press release: Sat. March 17, 2:00 pm Lake Edge Lutheran Church (4032 Monona Dr.) Wisconsin Poor People’s Campaign Meeting! The Poor People’s Campaign has been rekindled nationally by Rev. Dr. William J. Barber and Dr. Liz Theoharis with the blessing of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s family. The campaign is dedicated to the unfinished work of the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who called for a “revolution of values,” before his assassination in 1968. This multi-state movement has emerged from more than a decade of work by grassroots community and religious leaders, organizations, and movements fighting to end systemic racism, poverty, the war economy, environmental destruction, and other injustices. The Poor People’s Campaign is uniting tens of thousands of people across the country to challenge the evils of systemic racism, poverty, the war economy, and ecological devastation. Please join our discussion in Madison on how we can combine forces in the fight for moral justice. Info? #414-223-8333 or email: ppcwicom@gmail.com
