press release: The Wisconsin Regional Art Program (WRAP) will hold an un-juried exhibit at Prairie du Sac in the River Arts Center, Salk-Prairie High School, 105 9th St., Prairie du Sac, from Wednesday, January 18, 2017 to Saturday, March 4, 2017.
This exhibit is sponsored by the Wisconsin Regional Artists Association (WRAA), the River Arts Center and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Continuing Studies.
Local artists are invited to participate in the exhibit and workshop. Entry forms and fees are due by January 7. Entry fee to exhibit artwork and attend the workshop is $30. Artwork will be accepted at the River Arts Center on Sunday, January 15th from 12 noon to 2:00pm, and on Tuesday, January 17th from 10:00am to 12:00 noon. The public is invited to attend the workshop held on March 4th, from 9:00am to 3:00 pm for a fee of $5.
Mr. Barry Carlsen will be the guest artist speaker and juror. He will select works to go to the state exhibit in Wausau, held in August and September.
This exhibit is open to all non-professional artists 14 years and older. Work must be original and completed within the last two years. All media are accepted; oil, acrylic, watercolor, photography, sculpture, fabric, metal, glass, wood, digital, etc. There is a limit of two entries per artist.
The winning artwork will be on display at the Center for the Visual Arts, Wausau, WI next August and September.
There will be an opening reception at the River Arts Center on Friday, January 20th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
