press release: Wisconsin Women in Government (WWIG), a statewide, bipartisan, non-profit organization, will host an upcoming event honoring Wisconsin’s First Ladies.
The event, to be held to be held at the Governor’s Executive Residence on Wednesday, September 30th, will honor and recognize Wisconsin’s living first ladies. Invited guests include all living First Ladies and Rebecca Kleefisch, the current Wisconsin lieutenant governor. The event will include a brief program acknowledging the honorees and their many contributions to the state of Wisconsin.
“We are so pleased to be hosting this event,” said Megan Purtell, WWIG president. “It is our chance to recognize the significant contributions of Wisconsin’s First Ladies and thank them for the support they have given to WWIG over the years.”
This is a first time event for WWIG, an organization dedicated to raising funds to support the education of women who enter public service as a career goal. All proceeds from the event will go to WWIG’s scholarship programs.
The celebration will run from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. Tickets may be purchased for $40 each on the WWIG website, wiscwomeningovernment.org
