Dr. Ledesma explores the role that amenities and environments of choice have in redefining the 21st century landscape of Latino communities in American cities. The talk presents a series of research projects conducted on the U.S.-Mexico border that explore issues of local economic development, bottom-up approaches to planning and design intervention, and the role of place attachment within Latino vendor markets.
