Zeroed Hero
press release: Zeroed Hero and Quick & Painless return to Bos Meadery’s Mead Hall at 849 East Washington Avenue in Madison, on Friday, December 20, 2019 to put the lid on this year and spread some rock & roll holiday cheer. No cover, but tips/donations for the bands are suggested. Doors at 5pm, downbeat at 7pm sharpish. Come as you are, be nice, respect. Be sure to tip the bartenders & servers.
Please join Bos Meadery, Zeroed Hero, and Quick & Painless in contributing to our community by helping us collect at least 200 personal care non-food items at this show for donation to Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin. There are a number of generous folks around town already doing great work collecting non-perishable food items for our local Second Harvest; that’s why we’re helping them cover some of the other needs they address by specifically asking for personal care non-food items like hand soap, bar soap, shampoo, deodorant, tooth paste, and/or tooth brushes.
Zeroed Hero pours a classic blend of '70s and '90s style rock that’s more Muhammad Ali than Mike Tyson, featuring tight, riffy guitars and smart, thoughtful lyrics presented with sweet harmonies. Code Zero Radio’s Bob Minter says, “If this is the future of rock, we are all in.” High-energy live shows built on visceral rhythms, immersive grooves, rich melodies, and memorable harmonies showcase the strength of the songs on their debut album Love Letters to a Mannequin. For Fans of: Foo Fighters, Japandroids, Royal Blood
Two-time Rockonsin winners Quick and Painless are an alternative rock band from Madison, WI, combining the sounds of ‘70s rock, ‘80s new wave, ‘90s alternative and 2000s pop punk. In the past year Max (drums), Emma (bass, vocals), Ryan (keys, rhythm guitar, vocals), and Everett (lead guitar, vocals) have written, recorded, and released 2018’s "Haha...Walrus" EP and 2019’s full-length debut album "Pragmatic", both available anywhere you stream music, and have played in Madison, Milwaukee, and Chicago.
