Food cart evenings
Let's Eat Out Madison has extended its range to the north side with Monday night vending at North Sherman Avenue at Trailsway (southeast corner of Warner Park) from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Usual vendors are SoHo Gourmet, Slide, In 'N Out Empanadas and BJ Kolaches; others may attend. They also meet on Midvale at Midvale Elementary on Tuesdays and Atwood at Miller on Wednesdays.
The city's Meet & Eat cart vending/neighborhood get-together program expands this summer with evenings at Meadowood Shopping Center (Thursdays starting June 20), Villager Mall (Tuesdays in July starting July 9), and St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2126 N. Sherman Ave. (Tuesdays in August starting Aug. 6), all 5-7:30 pm.
Special dinner
The Good Food Garden Party to benefit Community Groundworks at Troy Gardens will take place June 22, with food from Restaurant Muramoto, Cafe Costa Rica, the Coopers Tavern, Salvatore's Tomato Pies, Tornado Steakhouse and Chocolaterian Café; beverages are from the Great Dane and Wollersheim Winery. Dining is al fresco in the community garden; tickets are $125 and available through brownpapertickets.com/event/379512.
