Wine + chocolate + tropical dome
Sampling locally crafted wines, chocolates and desserts is certainly a draw, but it might be the chance to wear something sleeveless without shivering that's most attractive at this benefit for Olbrich Gardens. The event, appropriately called Indulgence, is held in the candlelit Bolz Conservatory, with live music and special ticket prices for designated drivers. 5:30-8:30 pm, Feb. 21, at Olbrich, 3330 Atwood Ave. 608-246-4550; olbrich.org/events. $25/non-member, $20/member, $15/driver.
American Distilling
The seventh yearly installment of Distill America returns to the Edgewater Hotel this year to feature samples "from the international giants to the boutique micro-distillers." Nearly 60 producers from Wild Turkey and Jim Beam Small Batch to Wisconsin's Appeltreow and Death's Door offer their best stuff and bring their master distillers. 5 pm (VIP)/6 pm (general)-9 pm, Feb. 28, 1001 Wisconsin Place. distillamerica.com for more info. $65/$55 from brownpapertickets.com/event/930472.
