A new supper club, Black Market Madison, will host its inaugural dinner March 14 at the Project Lodge. Devised by people who work at the Weary Traveler looking to cook their own food, the club hopes to serve dinners on a monthly basis. "We want to have a good time and experiment a little, and do food you don't see very often," says chef Gregory James Walters, a principal organizer of the group. His seven-course menu for this first dinner will feature lobster leek caviar, tuna truffle anchovy, foie gras citrus black pepper, a pork trio, champagne, St. Andre caraway cherry and vanilla-cherry rhubarb. Email blackmarketmadison@gmail.com for info.
And Tuesday dinners are back at L'Etoile. Chef Tory Miller will cook classic American cuisine from The James Beard Cookbook on March 16, with seatings from 5:30 to 8:15 p.m.; $22. Call 608-251-0500 for reservations.
