This year, our Madison's Favorites poll opened just two days after the historic recall election for the governor's office, won by incumbent Scott Walker, and while there was still plenty of both anti- and pro-Walker sentiment in the voting, most respondents seemed prepared to move ahead, make change and focus on the positive. Throughout the results, Isthmus readers were more than willing to confess what they love about Madison and why. "The city is wonderful; the state is a mess," cautioned one voter. But "it's going to get better," another assured. Best advice of all? "Keep your mind open and your heart ready and Madison will amaze you." More than 3,350 of you voted in the poll. Thank you to everyone who participated, except for the person who voted for Scott Walker in every category. Because the last time we checked, Scott Walker was not a CSA farm, a pet supply shop or a hip-hop band. Although of course tomorrow is another day.
