2012 Madison Favorites: Shopping

Although "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" is a mantra in these parts, we haven't stopped adding items to our lairs. People like hunting for unique finds and bargains at one-of-a-kind, locally owned shops, thrift and antique stores. Self-imposed rules like "One thing comes in; one thing goes out" keep the hoarding instinct at bay. Shopping carefully and thoughtfully for that perfect something is its own form of entertainment. And if you end up with something that's not quite perfect, you can always have it altered.
