This autumn is shaping up to be a tuneful one for Madison music fans. After disappearing from the road for a couple of years, experimental ear-ticklers Black Moth Super Rainbow will appear at the Majestic Theatre Sept. 9. The Pains of Being Pure at Heart will entertain the High Noon Saloon with their beautiful mix of shoegaze and Smiths-style melodies Sept. 26, and Wilco will pepper Overture Hall with sounds from their forthcoming album The Whole Love Oct. 5. After noise-pop quartet Dum Dum Girls make devotees out of the High Noon crowd Oct. 13, fans will be forced to choose between two excellent Oct. 14 concerts: Melt-Banana at the High Noon or Matt Nathanson at Overture Center's Capitol Theater.
