UP: Henry Vilas Zoo. An anonymous donor gives a $25,000 matching grant to the zoo for its planned "Arctic Passage," a 1.7-acre addition for polar and grizzly bears and harbor seals.
DOWN: Wisconsin. A report by the Commonwealth Fund, which advocates for health care improvements, finds that Wisconsin will lose $1.8 billion in federal funds in 2022 for not expanding Medicaid as part of Obamacare. Wisconsin residents will, however, see their tax dollars used to pay for other states to expand their Medicaid programs.
