UP: Underage drinkers. Seven of eight bars in southeast Dane County serve alcohol to a teenager during a Sheriff's Office compliance check last week. Although the 17-year-old volunteer did not use a fake ID, the bars still served him. A similar check last month of bars and convenience stores in Middleton found 18 of 27 establishments sold alcohol to minors - even after Middleton police sent out letters warning owners the sting was going to happen.
DOWN: Paul Humphrey. A referee appointed by the Wisconsin Supreme Court rules that the Dane County prosecutor violated ethics rules and should be publicly reprimanded. The referee finds Humphrey twice lied to a judge and withheld evidence from the defense during his prosecution of Adam Raisbeck, who was acquitted of vehicular homicide in 2005. Humphrey says he will appeal the decision.
