UP: Wisconsin Historical Society. A Native American knife sheath that was stolen in the 1990s by former employee David Wooley is returned to the society's collection. Curators hope they can find 115 still-missing items stolen by Wooley, who was convicted of multiple counts of theft and sentenced to 15 years in prison.
DOWN: State employee unions. Gov.-elect Scott Walker vows to rein in state employee unions, telling the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, "We can no longer live in a society where the public employees are the haves and taxpayers who foot the bills are the have-nots." Union leader Rich Abelson sees a different class struggle: "In Scott Walker's world, CEOs never make enough money, and there isn't a working person who deserves what he earns."
