UP: Wisconsin School of Business. A group of 13 UW-Madison alumni, calling themselves the Wisconsin Naming Partnership, donate $85 million to the school - with the caveat that the school not change its name for at least 20 years. The gift is the largest in UW-Madison's history.
DOWN: Bill Clingan. The former Madison school board member withdraws his name from consideration as the city's new economic and community development director. Mayor Dave Cieslewicz had nominated Clingan over the objections of the business community, which felt Clingan lacked experience. Cieslewicz says he'll now restructure the position into two separate jobs, one focused on economic development, the other on community development.
