In order for renewable energy to really take off, scientists must find a way to store the energy generated by wind and solar power for times when the sun is down and the wind isn’t blowing. As writer Jenny Peek reported in this week’s Isthmus, researchers at UW-Madison’s Wisconsin Energy Institute are hard at work on this challenge, attempting to build a better battery.
