Mayor Dave Cieslewicz appears to be cleaning up a lot of administrative duties before taking next week off for the holidays. Quarterly meetings abound and the show biz appearances are limited to the Triple M show on Thursday and a read-in at Toki Middle School on Friday.
Of particular interest, however, is Monday's meeting with Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and WisDOT Secretary Frank Busalacchi out at Hill Farms. As has been pointed out here before, a partnership between the state's two biggest cities is nice and everything, but unless it results in some movement on the issue of high-speed rail between the two cities, as part of a line connecting Chicago to Minneapolis, color me apathetic.
And since the mayor is taking next week off, so is "Weekly Whereabouts." We'll return in the New Year when Mayor Dave's campaign for reelection promises to be underway.
