Mayor Dave Cieslewicz will take the second half of this week off, in celebration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Not bad.
Prior to that, he'll meet with Tripp Widder of Gorman & Co. and the Madison Public Library board who has managed to retain his preppy nickname of "Tripp" into adulthood. Cieslewicz will also serve as "Grand Marshall" of the Regent Neighborhood July 4th parade, which begs the question of what his transportation in the unquestionably quaint gathering will be. Lil' red wagon? Banana seat bike complete with balloons and streamers on the handle bars?
Here's hoping for a Xootr.
