Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz is on vacation through Tuesday, but returns just in time to attend Concerts for the, err, on the Square. Which is nice.
He'll also guest conduct the Capitol City Band at its Rennebohm Park concert on Thursday night. All he needs to do is sit in on a drum circle on Library Mall to complete the outdoor music trifecta.
Friday finds the mayor doing either the coolest or dumbest thing he'll do all year, depending on your view of golf. That's when he'll play each of Madison's four municipal golf courses in the same day. Will he walk each round and carry his own bag? We recently read about a gambler who won $350,000 by playing four sub-100 rounds in the Vegas heat in one day. Think the mayor's got any action on Friday's proceedings?
