It appears to be a sparse week in the life of Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz, but what this schedule lacks in quantity of events, it makes up in terms of quality. Specifically, Mayor Dave will face a tough audience bright and early at 7:30 Wednesday morning for the Chamber of Commerce's "Eggs and Issues" at the Concourse. Presumably, the eggs will be of the scrambled variety and not available for Chamber members to throw at Cieslewicz.
This is a crowd that has firmly opposed the mayor's proposals on affordable housing and transportation. Many have even tried to make him answer for issues the smoking ban (passed during the previous administration) and mandatory sick leave (which he publicly opposed). It will be interesting to see if Cieslewicz detractors take the opportunity to learn a little about what motivates Cieslewicz's policy thoughts or if they opt to simply pile on during a particularly rough patch.
