Several years ago, when Dave Cieslewicz was first running for mayor, I asked some members of his campaign for a copy of his NCAA basketball tournament picks, so as to compare them to those of his opponent at the time, former Mayor Paul Soglin. They refused, saying there was no way they could find the time to accomplish that task as the campaign itself was so demanding.
Last week Barack Obama and John McCain, candidates for president both, not only filled out their own bracket sheets, but offered them up to the Internet for competitive purposes. Well, Obama did. McCain's brackets are only accessible to those willing to provide an email address and zip code, and I already get too much porn spam.
My question: Where can I find the Mayor's bracket? And what's his bet with the mayor of Davidson, North Carolina, home to the Badgers' opponents in Friday night's tournament game?
