With over one million signatures collected to recall Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, there was an overwhelming sense of optimism at the recall victory party on Tuesday. But supporters were also keenly aware that if the election is certified, it will only be the first step towards changing leadership in the State.
"We've got a lot of work to do," says Ken Weaver, a recall volunteer from Deerfield. "We're going to look back at the petition process as being the easy part. Now we've got to get the vote out, getting people proper voter identification for the new rules... there will still be a lot more work to do."
The next step is finding a suitable Democratic challenger to Walker. Isthmus polled some recall supporters, asking who they would like to see take on the governor in a recall election. Here's what they told us.
