Best city for buttons
In his article "Is Madison Still Special?" (2/22/2013), Dave Cieslewicz states: "Magazines love top 10 lists. If there were a magazine for button collectors, I'm sure they would have their annual Best Cities for Buttons! Issue every February." I would like to inform him and all readers that there is a magazine for button collectors. It is called the National Button Bulletin. The National Button Bulletin does not publish the "Best Cities for Buttons!" but has declared March "Button Month."
Button collectors have more than just a magazine to read: There is the National Button Society (NBS), the Wisconsin State Button Society (WSBS) and the Madison Button Club, as well as button societies in many other states and the British Button Society. Additional information can be found at www.nationalbuttonsociety.org or www.wisconsinstatebuttonsociety.org.

Busted
I am outraged that Gov. Scott Walker is trying to bust the unions to balance the budget ("Busting Wisconsin's Unions," 3/1/2013). It is making it harder for employees to organize, and the state is not broke. All Walker is trying to do is make Wisconsin a right-to-work state.
Also, re: "Waiting List Closes for Public Housing," 3/1/2013, there are too many homeless people and families seeking affordable housing for this to happen. Thanks to Congress and former President George W. Bush for Section 8 subsidies, since the private market has been closed since 2007.
