Cloud Atlas: In a series of interwoven narratives, several individuals (Halle Berry, Tom Hanks) affect each other's lives in the past, present and future. Though several of these stories would be compelling on their own, they get lost in the movie's unwieldy plot.

A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III: A graphic designer (Charlie Sheen) plays out unusual fantasies in his head to cope with the departure of his longtime lover. It's hard to tell what planet this movie is from, but it seems to be a place where dialogue is underwritten and line readings are painfully stilted.
