Though it's no longer on the air, the Wednesday Night Foreign and Silent Film Series on Madison community television WYOU lives on in the form of a trailer that features Jason Kwaiatkowski, longtime station volunteer and producer.
"Look closely," urges the description accompanying the clip, "and you will see reenacted scenes from numerous classic movies." There are homages to numerous scenes throughout the promo, including the chess game in Ingmar Bergman's The Seventh Seal and the Odessa Steps sequence in Sergei Eisenstein's The Battleship Potemkin. This seven-minute promo video, produced by Justin McGuir and sans dialogue, of course, follows below.
