Last weekend, Tashai Lovington and Robert Lughai at Tarazod Films finished wrapped shooting of the teaser trailer to their new documentary Mad City Chickens. "Up and coming child actor Drew nailed his role in front of the blue screen, and both he and his father were great fun to work with," note the filmmakers. "We all celebrated afterwards with some ice cream."
The trailer was subsequently completed and released on Wednesday, the first glimpse at what the filmmakers describe as a "feature-length genre-crossing documentary" about raising chickens in Madison.
"From the underground to about town, chickens take the city by storm, and poultry supporters come out of the woodwork," promise Lovington and Lughai as they continue to work in post-production. "From backyard hens to runaway polka bands, the city will never be the same again."
