"Dinghy sailing is a core sailing skill." So declares a brief Badger Techs -- the basic training vessels of the fleet.
"It's perfect for instruction," the club explains. "Its simple rigging is easy to learn for beginning sailors, it's easy to right when it has capsized, it comes up dry, and the heavy-duty hull is designed to withstand a little bump here and there."

Members of this summer's Hoofers Sailing instruction are introduced in a video shot during their training weekend back in March. More details about learning to sail are available in the Hoofers program overview, including instruction, manuals and rules, and and online tutorials.
