At the end of every week, Isthmus sales representative and nationally-known milblogger Jim Hanson (a.k.a. "Uncle Jimbo") releases the latest episode of his "Friday Freefly." Shot on the first level of the multi-story Wando's Bar and Grill at the corner of University and Frances just north of the Kohl Center, it's a polemical online talk show that typically focuses on a recent controversy in American politics. The primary topic for this week is the brouhaha over Nancy Pelosi's trip to Syria
The vidcasts aren't all politics, though. Taking the talk show format to the next logical level, the Freefly features a guest musical performance this week. Michael Alexander, the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for SAND -- who describe themselves as "punk rock Lynyrd Skynyrd' -- stopped by Wando's to play a couple of the their songs solo on his acoustic guitar.
