Collecting MadVideos -- 'Pink and Silver' by Charlemagne by Kristian Knutsen June 27, 2007 8:22 PM × It has been nearly a year since Carl Johns packed up and left Madison, taking his indie pop project Behold Charlemagne! This new-old music video follows below. A live concert video of "Pink and Silver" is also available for viewing, shot by Madison music videographer MySpace page Charlemagne is about to embark on a brief tour of the Northeast (with one stop in L.A.), followed by a July jaunt to Australia. In advance of this, though, the group just announced details about the upcoming album. It is titled We Can Build An Island and will be released in the U.S. on Sep. 11, 2007. The album features 11 tracks, and was recorded with Matt Ricchini and Michael Heinzer of the Philadelphia-based band Soft People. Carl and his collaborators trekked to Tucson in April to record at Wavelab Studio; an inside look at the sessions can be viewed in a photo set published by Johns.
