The Badger men's basketball team should continue to be the object of state pride as well as national attention, even though their unprecedented 17-game winning street finally came to an end Wednesday in Bloomington, Indiana. All the hoopla certainly created a scene at Assembly Hall, where Hoosier fans held Wisconsin in such esteem that they rushed the floor after the home team won the game.
Many observers had cited that game and an upcoming trip to Columbus as the most likely candidates for a Badger loss, matches that would significantly determine the outcome of the Big Ten standings come early March.
The Badgers' next test comes against Northwestern at the Kohl Center on Saturday, Feb. 3, when they'll look to start a brand-new winning streak in the second half of the Big Ten season. All games at the arena begin similarly, with a procession of players and flags entering the court to the tune of "On Wisconsin."
A video clip of the Badgers taking the court at the Kohl Center follows below, along with more than a dozen perspectives on the rush at Assembly Hall.
