Factotum: Last seen in Barfly, Charles Bukowski's sodden Henry Chinaski is back, this time played by Matt Dillon in a low-key, gorgeously beery performance. The movie is lean, mean and entertaining, rendering the drinking life not as an option but as a necessity.
Invincible: Vince Papale (Mark Wahlberg) was a down-on-his-luck bartender who got added to the Philadelphia Eagles roster in 1976 without having played college football. The film lays it on pretty thick at times, but it has some times-was-bad grit, and Wahlberg's performance is admirably restrained.
