Flight of the Red Balloon: In this homage to Albert Lamorisse's 1956 short The Red Balloon, a Parisian boy with a messy, vibrant home life meets his own balloon - but unlike Lamorisse's child, he can't coax the balloon into companionship. Honestly, I could take or leave the business with the balloon, which never gels thematically.

The Incredible Hulk: This screen version of the Marvel comic is vastly more entertaining than the last one, thanks to Edward Norton's performance as the scientist who tries to repress the beast within. The film never stops moving, and suddenly the Hulk feels really, truly incredible.
