Obsessed: A woman (Beyoncé Knowles) fights back when her husband (Idris Elba) is sexually harassed by a beautiful office temp (Ali Larter). This routine mash-up of Fatal Attraction, Disclosure and The Hand That Rocks the Cradle delivers in its limited way, even though we know exactly what to expect.

The Soloist: A middle-class journalist (Robert Downey Jr.) befriends a homeless man (Jamie Foxx) and tries to help him back into the world of classical music. It's not the great movie its makers obviously wanted, but it's a memorable showcase for two of the best contemporary movie actors, both at the top of their form.
