The Protector: In Prachya Pinkaew's audacious film, a young fighter (Tony Jaa) goes to Australia to wreak bloody revenge for his stolen elephant. A series of jaw-dropping spectacles involving roller-blade warriors, speed boats and whips are executed with incredible skill, both behind and in front of the camera.
Snakes on a Plane: This disaster flick, which stars Samuel Jackson as an FBI agent assigned to escort a murder witness from Honolulu to Los Angeles, may not be good or bad enough to live up to its title. Snakes brings out the reptiles early and often, and some will enjoy wallowing in this trash.
