This Saturday, Sept. 29, marks the fourth home game of the season at Camp Randall for the Wisconsin Badgers football team, one in which they are looking to extend their nation-leading winning streak to 14 games. The Badgers will be facing the Michigan State Spartans, similarly undefeated this season, in what may very well be another ugly game between two teams playing classic Big Ten football.
Fans are hoping that it will be an improvement upon last week, though, when the Badgers defeated Iowa in a game dominated by the rushing of P.J. Hill and a battle of the punters. Like every game at Camp Randall, though, the Wisconsin faithful are out in force, as seen in this photo taken by Olsen. She sets the scene:
Saturday, September 22 was a great day... we started to see 'the red' appear at the Farmers' Narket and watched the color envelop the city as the day went on. Influenced by the masses, we stopped at a couple shops on State Street to add more red to our personal wardrobe, and were surprised by the throngs of Wisconsin fans -- one athletic apparel store had a long line to get in, as well as at the register, shortly after noon! We eventually found what we were looking for and proceeded to Lucky's and then the Stadium for the 7 p.m. game, where we blended right in with the sea of red. The stands were full, the dots of yellow fans were far and few between, and at the end of the night the Badgers emerged victorious over the Iowa Hawkeyes, 17-13.
This weekend's game will start at 2:30 p.m., and will be broadcast on ABC and the Wisconsin Radio Network.
