Holiday Pop-up Shop
East Towne Mall 89 East Towne Mall, Madison, Wisconsin 53704
media release: Agrace Thrift Stores’ annual Holiday Pop-up Shop will open Wednesday, October 30, selling a mix of donated new and gently used items for holiday entertaining, giving and decorating.
Located inside Madison’s East Towne Mall, the store will be open until November 30, Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The temporary store is located near the center of the mall, most easily be accessed using the entrances at the mall’s food court or Flix Brewhouse.
Because the popular shop’s merchandise is donated by the community, most items are one-of-a-kind treasures, and inventory is updated every week.
“The success of the Holiday Pop-up Shop is largely due to the many community donors who generously gift their holiday treasures to Agrace Thrift Stores throughout the year,” said Katie O’Grady, Agrace’s retail business manager. “We’re also grateful to have so many dedicated volunteers who give their time, care and attention to making the shop look so magical.”
Volunteers needed: Prospective volunteers can learn more by calling Agrace at (608) 327-7163 or visiting Agrace.org/Volunteer.
Proceeds from the Holiday Pop-up Shop help fund Agrace’s community grief support services, including those offered through the Agrace Grief Support Center in Fitchburg.
Every year, more than 4,000 adults and children throughout southern Wisconsin receive grief support from Agrace when they need help coping with the death of a loved one. This essential community service is available to anyone who is grieving, even if the person who died was not an Agrace Hospice Care patient.
Agrace operates four other resale stores in southern Wisconsin—three traditional thrift stores in Madison and Janesville, and a home store in Madison that focuses on furniture and décor.
