media release: The Run Santa Run 5K is back! Get ready to experience the most joyful event of the season in Madison, WI on December 21st.  

This year, we’re thrilled to announce our featured characters: Santa, a Penguin, and an Elf! Gather your family and friends and dress up as your favorite themed character for a truly memorable holiday experience! Run or walk - this is a family- friendly event for everyone.

We can’t wait to celebrate the holiday season with you! 

It’s Madison’s favorite Christmas tradition with four easy steps!

STEP #1: Decide whether you want to run or walk as a Santa, Elf, or Penguin. 

STEP #2: Get your costume. We’ll help with character shirts and hats or accessories.

STEP #3: Run or walk the 5K and have a good time making sure to soak in all the holiday fun!

STEP #4: Enjoy the North Pole Post-Race party!

Although this is an untimed event, the first 25 runners to beat the Grinch will get a FREE slice of Ian's Pizza!
