She Kills Monsters

media release: La Follette High School Drama present their fall production, She Kills Monsters, November 8, 9, and 10 at the La Follette High School Auditorium (702 Pflaum rd Madison). Tickets are $15 general admission and $10 students and seniors.

Show times are 7pm on 11/8 and 9, and 1pm on 11/10. 11/9 will be a ASL interpreted performance.

She Kills Monsters tells the story of high schooler Agnes Evans as she deals with the death of her younger sister, Tilly. When Agnes stumbles upon Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, she finds herself catapulted into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was her sister’s refuge. In this high-octane dramatic comedy laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres, and ’90s pop culture, acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all.

She Kills Monsters: Young Adventurers Edition contains frank discussions of gender identity and preference, strong language, and graphic representations of fantasy violence. Parental guidance is recommended for kids 13 and under.
