The Madison Monday Noon Vigil for Peace started on December 7, 1981 and occurred almost every Monday for over thirty-eight years until the pandemic shut it down in March of 2020. This year, on December 4, the first Monday of Dec - 42 years after it all started, the Monday Noon Vigil for Peace restarted in downtown Madison.
