Located at: University Research Park, 505 S. Rosa Road
Join us each Saturday, starting April 13, from 7:00am - 12:30pm for the (gasp) 20th season of the Westside Community Market!
Once again you can find us nestled inside University Research Park at 505 S. Rosa Road, every weekend through early November.
We've got a great lineup for you this year, full of all your favorites plus some promising new additions to the market family.
We'll be sharing further details on what's to come in the next few weeks, including the vendor lineup, special events and new offerings. In the meantime, get ready to dust off those shopping totes, grease the wheels on your market wagons and ready those shopping lists.
Starting on Saturday, July 20, the third food scraps drop-off site will open at the Westside Community Market.
This market is located at 505 S. Rosa Rd (within the Research Park area at the corner of S. Whitney at Mineral Point Rd). It is open from 7:00am to 12:30pm on Saturdays.
This market will be available from July 20 with the last one happening on October 5.
This market will accept the same thing the other two markets accept. Be sure you are only bringing in the appropriate scraps to this third location.
When you do bring food scraps, remember to only bring appropriate scraps.
It’s the kind of scraps you can compost in your backyard – raw fruits & vegetables, coffee grounds, eggshells, and similar natural products.
We cannot accept compostable plastics.
We cannot take paper packaging.
We cannot take bread or any other baked goods.
We cannot accept pasta.
We cannot accept anything cooked in fats, oils, or grease.
Also, please be sure you are removing the stickers from your produce. It’s a particularly icky job to have dig through someone else’s scraps with your fingers to pluck out stickers. So, please, take them off before dumping your scraps at the sites.
