The Wrecks
Majestic Theatre 115 King St., Madison, Wisconsin 53703
media release: Following unprecedented independent success earmarked by tens of thousands of tickets sold and over a quarter-billion streams, alternative music’s best-kept secret Los Angeles-based band The Wrecks unveil a brand-new single entitled “Always, Everytime.” The song notably marks their first release since 2022 and premiered with Sirius XM Alt Nation as their official debut for LAVA/Republic Records.
About the song, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Nick Anderson commented, “‘Always, Everytime’ is about meeting someone whose brain works just like yours does—someone who makes you feel seen like you’ve never been seen, heard like you’ve never been heard, and who relates to all your idiosyncrasies and loves you for them. It’s a promise to this person that they can always be fully themselves around you, and they’ll be embraced, celebrated, and cherished. I wrote most of this song on the fly in one two-minute voice memo. I was thinking about the people in my life I have felt the most understood by. I worked out maybe 19 different arrangements for this track. The version you hear has bits and pieces from every one of those variations. It was truly a labor of love, but well, well worth it.”
As usual, The Wrecks bring unpredictability back to alternative rock. On the track, an off-kilter groove quakes beneath a luminous guitar riff, glistening keyboard line, and warm bass. It builds towards a head-nodding hook, “Come on let’s get moving. If something is wrong, I know we’ll get through it, always, everytime.” Overflowing with energy, “Always, Everytime” climaxes on a soaring guitar solo.
Stay tuned for the premiere for an equally captivating and quirky music video to accompany the track.
Next up, The Wrecks will set out on the Super Half-Marathon Fall 2024 Tour. They notably sold out the entirety of this run in 12 hours, and they’ll be rolling through intimate venues such as Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn, NY on November 13 and The Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles, CA on November 21. This tour follows last year’s Half Marathon Tour, which not only sold out in 3 LA venues, but was sold out on day one of pre-sales.
Maintaining this momentum into the next year, they embark on their biggest headline run to date INSIDE: OUTSIDE Tour in 2025 It kicks off on April 18 in Berkley, CA at UC Berkeley, visits major markets coast-to-coast, and concludes on May 31 in Los Angeles, CA at The Wiltern.

The Wrecks instigate an immediate reaction. Thanks to an idiosyncratic and infectious D.I.Y. approach to alternative pop, fans not only hang on to the group’s sticky hooks for dear life, but they also sing along to every word (as loudly as possible) at packed headline shows. The Los Angeles-based band—Nick Anderson [vocals, guitar, keyboard, production], Nicholas “Schmizz” Schmidt [lead guitar], Aaron Kelley [bass], and William “Billy” Nally [drums]—helm every facet of their vision, writing, producing, and cooking up a homegrown signature sound without comparison. As such, the quartet deliver an insanely immersive experience for their diehard audience at shows, within songs, and even on social media. Buoyed by this response, they have sold tens of thousands of tickets and independently stacked up nearly 300 million total streams across songs like “Favorite Liar,” (Top 40 Alternative Single) “Fvck Somebody,” and “Freaking Out” (which spent 23 weeks on SiriusXM’s Alt Nation 18 Peaking at #3 and was also a Top 40 Alternative Single) as well as two full-length offerings, namely Infinitely Ordinary [2020] and Sonder [2022]. Of the latter, EUPHORIA. raved, “There’s also some real versatility on the record,” and Wonderland. added, “The sweet sounds of indie-rock are unparalleled, and four-piece The Wrecks are crashing back onto the scene to prove it.” OnesToWatch went as far as to proclaim, “The Wrecks should be your new favorite alternative rock band.” Sonder also appeared on Spotify’s Top 10 USA Album Debut Chart. 2024 saw the guys sign to Lava/Republic Records, kicking off another chapter in the process. It begins with the arrestingly catchy, yet wonderfully off-kilter lead single “Always, Everytime” and a whole lot more coming soon. Let The Wrecks take up residence in your head now. You won’t want them to leave.
